Position Introduction

This is a full-time permanent position, and it would be a great fit for someone who deeply understands the Naver ecosystem and can strategically create content that truly helps Korean users.

You will directly manage Canva's Naver Blog, taking responsibility for both content quality and performance, lead a team of freelance copywriters, and drive content strategy unique to the Korean market. This is not simply about "creating" content—it's about building the direct connection between content and actual business growth.

If you have native-level Korean language skills, deep understanding of Naver, and experience leading content teams, this role would be an excellent fit.

Key Responsibilities

Naver Content & Ecosystem Management

  • Take full ownership of Canva's Naver Blog as a core organic channel, responsible for editorial quality, consistency, and overall performance.

  • Build and operate a strategic editorial calendar that reflects keyword research and Naver platform characteristics.

  • Plan, write, and publish Korean-language content that is discoverable on Naver while providing genuine value to users.

  • Expand Canva's organic presence on Naver beyond the blog to include Naver Café, Naver Knowledge iN, video content, and other Naver channels.

  • Manage comments and community responses to build trust and brand awareness for Canva.

  • Continuously analyze content performance and visibility, refining editorial strategy based on data.

Website Content & Optimization

  • Lead content direction for landing pages and blog articles, contributing to long-term content strategy development.

  • Identify keyword opportunities and content gaps that can increase Canva's traffic share in the Korean market.

  • Write and edit SEO-optimized content on diverse design topics that resonate with Korean users.

  • Upload and publish content following the latest SEO standards and local tone of voice.

  • Regularly review and optimize landing pages to maintain freshness and user engagement.

  • Provide practical feedback on CMS, translation quality, and page layout to improve overall quality.

Collaboration & Strategic Partnership

  • Work closely with the entire Korea SEO team to align goals, priorities, and SEO strategy.

  • Contribute to various SEO activities including keyword research, competitor analysis, and collaboration with SEO specialists.

  • Partner with marketing and community teams to ensure content strategy reflects local market trends and user needs.

  • Share local market insights and user data to inform content direction decisions.

  • Build relationships across teams to understand how content work contributes to broader business goals.

Staying Ahead of Search & Discovery Changes

  • Continuously monitor how AI-powered platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews are changing search behavior from a Korean market perspective.

  • Distinguish between areas where traditional SEO remains effective and areas requiring new approaches.

  • Learn and apply next-generation optimization trends like GEO/AEO to team strategy.

  • Enjoy experimenting with new content formats and optimization methods as the search environment evolves.

  • Share observations and insights about how Korean users discover content with the global team.

Building & Managing Freelance Copywriter Teams

  • Build and manage a pool of freelance copywriters to scale content production while maintaining quality.

  • Hire, onboard, and train copywriters aligned with Canva's brand voice and SEO standards.

  • Write clear briefs that enable copywriters to deliver high-quality content efficiently.

  • Provide specific, constructive feedback and coaching to help copywriters improve and grow.

  • Empower copywriters to take ownership of their work while maintaining quality and deadline standards together.

  • Create and operate a QA process to ensure freelance content meets Canva's standards before publication.

  • Build an environment where copywriters feel supported and motivated to do their best work.

AI-Powered Work Efficiency

  • Actively leverage AI tools in research, content drafting, and overall workflows.

  • Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and lead AI-based improvements.

  • Explore new AI tools and share effective practices with the entire team.

  • Ownership mindset: You act like it's your business, not just your job
