The George Washington University Department of Pharmacology & Physiology is an active research department with federally funded programs in neuroscience and development, cardiovascular pharmacology and integrative physiology, genomics, and oncology. It offers unique pre- and postdoctoral biomedical research training, teaches Pharmacology and Physiology to Medical and Physician Assistant students, and provides graduate courses through the GW Institute for Biomedical Sciences. The Senior Research Assistant independently conducts research activities in a laboratory setting under guidance from the Principal Investigator. Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, interpreting results, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The position assists with manuscript preparation, publications, and generation of data for grant submissions. The role applies established procedures within the laboratory and supports ongoing research projects and overall scholarly activities.
