Program Manager, Center for Interfaith & Spiritual Life

The Division for Student Affairs (DSA) engages with students throughout all phases of the student lifecycle. Reporting to the University Chaplain, the Program Manager, Center for Interfaith & Spiritual Life (CISL) serves as the primary operational lead supporting the day-to-day functioning of the Center. This role is responsible for managing core operations, coordinating student engagement, supervising student staff, and leading execution of programs and initiatives that support religious and spiritual life at the university. The Program Manager ensures effective coordination, communication, and delivery of CISL programs and services.

This position is designed to provide operational and programmatic leadership within a streamlined staffing model. The Program Manager is responsible for the coordination, execution, and supervision of student staff, while the University Chaplain retains responsibility for strategic leadership, relationship management, and Interfaith initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Operations and Infrastructure

  • Manage day-to-day operations of CISL, including coordination of prayer and meditation spaces
  • Oversee scheduling systems and event logistics platforms (e.g., Momentus, Engage, Campus Groups)
  • Coordinate event logistics including space reservations, vendors, student staff, and run-of-show execution
  • Track budgets and support financial processes in coordination with the University Chaplain
  • Maintain and update CISL communications, including website content and program materials
  • Develop and implement systems to improve coordination, access, and visibility of CISL resources

Programs and Events

  • Support logistics for CISL and DSA programs and events, including Interfaith Week and other signature initiatives and ensure alignment with divisional and university priorities
  • Support program assessment and evaluation including for grant management
  • Support coordination and communication with CISL-affiliated student organizations
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for student organization logistics, scheduling, and administrative needs
  • Partner with the University Chaplain in maintaining strong relationships with student organization leadership
  • Provide operational and administrative support for the CISL Fellows Program, including application coordination, scheduling, communications, and logistics
  • Track participation and engagement to support assessment and reporting

Supervision

  • Supervise student employees and/or graduate assistants supporting CISL operations and programs
  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing supervision to ensure high-quality support
  • Delegate tasks effectively to support communications, events, and data tracking
  • Support onboarding and continuity of student staff across academic years

Coordination and Communication

  • Exercise independent judgment in managing operations and program execution
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication across students, partners, and university stakeholders
  • Coordinate logistics and communications related to chaplain engagement and collaborative initiatives, in partnership with the University Chaplain
  • Identify and escalate issues as appropriate while maintaining continuity of operations
