Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal Paid Media Specialist is someone who shares our passion for search engines, social platforms, numbers, and data! The ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, organized, creative, and willing to push their limits to deliver an exceptional client experience. This person has a minimum of 3 years of experience in executing and managing paid media campaigns across various sectors and industries. Our ideal candidate has previously worked in a digital marketing agency and has experience with a variety of platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, etc.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Campaign management, execution, and strategy implementation

  • Create and manage PPC marketing campaigns in Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Facebook Ads for multiple client accounts in different sectors;
  • Create and optimize advertising campaigns on search networks, display networks, and paid social platforms, with a focus on increasing client ROI to help them achieve their goals;
  • Analyze PPC campaign results and adjust advertising tactics to improve/develop campaigns using market research and campaign data to evaluate tests and performance;
  • Conduct keyword research and create lists of targeted keywords that are relevant to the client's websites and activities;
  • Collaborate with account managers and other departments to establish strategic direction;
  • Take responsibility for campaign performance;
  • Manage client budgets and keep campaigns within those budgets;
  • Produce reports for clients, communicate results, and implement proposed strategic direction;
  • Work on medium to large-sized accounts in different sectors;
  • Be able to create, present, and explain media plans for medium to large-sized clients.

Client communication

  • Meet with clients alongside account managers to provide insights on applicable optimizations and changes;
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding the performance of current digital marketing efforts, discuss client expectations/goals, provide advice, and create reports;
  • Support the business development team through, among other things, audits and analyses. Your help will also be beneficial in developing strategies and participating in sales pitches.

Intellectual leadership and innovative thinking

  • Proactively identify new opportunities through beta tools or known best practices to continuously improve campaign performance;
  • Maintain Google Partner, Bing, and Facebook certifications, as well as any other relevant industry accreditations;
  • Continuously research and test the latest paid marketing practices and stay up to date with the latest digital marketing trends;
  • Participate in networking activities and industry-related events.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 3 or more years of experience in a similar role;
  • University degree in marketing, communications, management, business, or another relevant field;
  • A good understanding of the Google Ads ecosystem (paid search/SEM, Display, YouTube, Shopping, etc.);
  • A good understanding of paid social platforms (Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, and other platforms, including TikTok);
  • Google Ads certifications (any other Google or Facebook certifications are considered an asset);
  • Exceptional reporting skills and an adequate understanding of how to measure results;
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary digital campaigns;
  • Leadership experience, with strengths in coaching and mentoring more junior team members;
  • Practical knowledge of Google Analytics;
  • Demonstrate a strong team spirit;
  • Ability to identify optimizations and sales opportunities;
  • Great attention to detail and ability to create quality content;
  • Agency experience is an asset;
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts/tasks simultaneously;
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
  • Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken, allowing for effective communication with our bilingual clientele as well as with members of our national and international teams.
