Do you have a technical background and are you looking for a role with more challenge, variety, and responsibility?
Then this vacancy might be for you! At Applus+ you will be trained as a Leak Testing Operator from your first day.
What a work week looks like varies from week to week, sometimes even from day to day. One week you might be assigned a different job daily, but the next week you could be working at one specific location, where you might occasionally stay overnight in a hotel. No week is the same. That's what makes it so enjoyable!
Your tasks include:
-
Arranging work permits;
-
Setting up and determining where you need to connect your equipment to the installation;
-
Checking whether the test works by performing reference measurements;
-
Checking the system for leaks (the test itself);
-
Consulting with the client about any follow-up steps if a leak is found;
-
Creating and issuing a report with the findings.
The work we perform for Leak Testing is mainly learned 'on the job'. Through training and a personal development plan, you will be prepared to conduct tests independently. Under the guidance of your mentor, project manager, and experienced colleagues, we will determine which courses/trainings are suitable for your development.
After your induction period, you will be multifunctional and have a great deal of freedom and autonomy.

About the Leak Testing department
The Leak Testing department, located in Kapelle, specializes in detecting leaks and determining whether something is leak-tight. We do this on complete factory installations or on small objects such as sensors. We search for leaks using a tracer gas (helium/hydrogen/freon, etc.) or with, for example, ultrasonic sound or soapy water.
We conduct our tests for a wide variety of companies and clients at various locations. Think of, among others, (petro-)chemical industry, power plants, food industry, manufacturers of heat exchangers and other industrial components, but also cooling systems for, for example, hospitals and office buildings. The tests are mainly conducted in the Netherlands and neighboring countries such as Germany, England, and Belgium. Occasionally, we work in countries outside Europe.
About the organization
