The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill two (2) vacancy for the full-time classification of Marketing and Communications Assistant (Full-Time) in the Department of Communications. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, performs various marketing and communications related tasks in support of one or more functional areas of the Department of Communications; provides administrative and customer service assistance to City employees and the public; and performs related duties as assigned.
Position Details:
A successful candidate in this position is proactive, detail-oriented, and organized, supporting one or more divisions within the Department of Communications. This role may involve development and execution of marketing campaigns, public relations, community events, and other department initiatives. Strong communication, time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills are essential.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or the equivalent
- Six (6) months experience in public relations, social media, marketing, journalism, communications, or a closely related field
- Note: An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered
- Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license as defined by NRS 483
