Job Description

Job description

The Head of Legal Chile will be responsible for leading Experian's legal and regulatory strategy in Chile, ensuring compliance with an increasingly complex regulatory environment while acting as a strategic business partner. The position will be expected to anticipate and evaluate regulatory developments with an impact on the company—including Fintech Law, Open Finance, credit advisory, personal data protection, REDEC, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence—translating such changes into action plans, risk mitigation, and growth opportunities. Likewise, they will support the commercial, product, technology, and operations areas in the design and launch of new products, services, alliances, and strategic initiatives, integrating legal and regulatory considerations from early stages to facilitate agile, sustainable execution aligned with the company's objectives.

The position will also be responsible for representing and strengthening Experian's positioning before the CMF, other authorities, trade associations, and relevant stakeholders, leading regulatory engagement and the company's participation in discussions that may impact industry development. Additionally, they will be in charge of local legal governance, including contract management, corporate affairs, litigation, regulatory investigations, and external counsel, ensuring a coordinated and efficient response to critical issues. Through legal leadership that is closely aligned with the business, the Head of Legal Chile will contribute to reducing regulatory and reputational risks, decreasing reliance on external counsel, accelerating strategic projects, and identifying opportunities derived from regulatory evolution that strengthen Experian's innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable growth in Chile.
