LEAD ASSOCIATE
REPORTS TO: Store Management Team
SUMMARY: The primary function of the Lead Associate is to sell and promote TOMMY HILFIGER merchandise by following TH customer service standards. The Lead Associate has cashier responsibilities and also participates in a variety of operational activities as assigned by the store management team.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently provide TH customer service that meets company standards.
- Ensure that stock levels on the floor are adequate.
- Ensure that the store displays a distinctive visual presentation and impeccable maintenance.
- Minimize discrepancies by following loss prevention procedures.
- Demonstrate knowledge of sales plans and store results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of individual contributions to business results.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Have good time management and prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Participate in "Take 5" meetings and staff meetings as needed.
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate maximum sales potential in accordance with TH customer service standards.
- Build a base of regular customers through excellent data collection and service.
- Stay up to date on products, promotions, and special events in order to communicate them to customers and achieve better sales.
- Consistently foster a positive in-store experience by treating all customers and employees fairly and equally.
- Maintain good zone coverage by greeting every customer in the zone, prioritizing customers before tackling tasks.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Have good time management and prioritize tasks.
PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the TH brand by adopting a professional personal appearance.
- Demonstrate professional image and behavior.
- Must be willing to work a variable schedule, as determined by management.
- Communicate any concerns to the management team.
- Assist in the development of sales associates.
- Ensure that respect is maintained within the peer group, staff, and supervisors.
- Generate energy and enthusiasm regarding common goals and values and act with integrity.
- Support all decisions coming from the company and the management team.
- Modify schedules, adapt to job needs, and take on night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to policies and procedures.
- Supervise the sales floor and back office to ensure loss prevention and notify the management team of any unusual internal or external activity.
- Perform daily opening and closing checklist tasks as prescribed by the management team to ensure the store is always ready.
- Perform all cash transactions, including those performed by the management team (refunds, exchanges, merchandise credit, gift cards, cash drawer removal).
- Authorized to reconcile all documentation when requested: Counting cash drawers, secondary verification of cash funds in the safe, verification of cash registers between cashiers.
- Be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
MERCHANDISING AND VISUAL PRESENTATION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that product replenishment is carried out consistently and adequately on the sales floor.
- Comply with visual presentation standards.
- Execute markdowns and restock as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness of displays, hardware, and the overall cleanliness of the store.
