Job Title: Kinyarwanda Language Expert

Job Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

Job Summary: In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Translate, review, and edit content into and from Kinyarwanda, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
  2. Collaborate with AI trainers to refine and enhance Kinyarwanda language datasets and training materials.
  3. Evaluate and correct natural language data for grammar, context, and clarity.
  4. Provide linguistic expertise to support the development of language processing tools and AI models.
  5. Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all written and verbal communication.
  6. Offer insights on Kinyarwanda linguistic nuances, idioms, and cultural references.
  7. Work cross-functionally with other language experts and project stakeholders to meet deadlines and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Native or near-native proficiency in Kinyarwanda, with advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Proven experience in translation, editing, or linguistics involving Kinyarwanda.
  3. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in grammatical accuracy and contextual meaning.
  4. Strong reading comprehension and analytical abilities in both Kinyarwanda and English.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  6. Familiarity with digital tools and language technology platforms.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to linguistic integrity and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience as an AI language trainer or in natural language processing projects.
  2. Background in education, linguistics, or localization for Kinyarwanda language.
  3. Understanding of the latest trends in AI and language technology.
