Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and proofread articles to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to editorial standards.

  • Collaborate with editors, designers, and other journalists to enhance content quality.

  • Monitor current events, trends, and issues relevant to assigned beats.

  • Uphold the highest ethical standards and maintain journalistic integrity at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a journalist with a strong portfolio of published work.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proficient in conducting interviews and synthesizing complex information.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a remote setting.

  • High degree of curiosity, initiative, and critical thinking.

  • Solid understanding of media law, ethics, and best practices.

  • Comfortable using digital tools for research, collaboration, and content management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reporting for international or digital-first newsrooms.

  • Familiarity with multimedia storytelling, including podcasts or video.
