Job description
As a Jira Administrator at Ubisoft Montreal, you will ensure the administration, evolution and governance of the Jira environment used for the production of Rainbow Six Siege. You will support production, development, quality assurance and tools teams to maintain stable and consistent work processes. You will also contribute to the migration from Jira Server to Jira Cloud.
What you will do:
- Administer Jira projects, including workflows, permissions, screens, custom fields and related configurations;
- Collect change requests from teams and propose solutions that comply with governance standards;
- Design, maintain and improve Jira automations linked to production processes;
- Administer the add-ons and integrations required for daily activities;
- Regularly review Jira usage and ensure consistency of data, project structures and practices;
- Document processes, configurations and best practices, then support teams in adopting new standards;
- Resolve complex issues related to workflows, permissions, automations or integrations;
- Prepare the migration to Jira Cloud by reviewing existing configurations, risks, interdependencies and opportunities for simplification;
- Contribute to Jira Cloud standards and governance, as well as migration, validation and stabilization activities to maintain production operations.
Qualifications
What you bring to the team:
- Hands-on experience administering Jira in a production context;
- Mastery of Jira workflows, permissions, schemes, custom fields, screens and automations;
- Experience reviewing and improving operational processes supported by Jira;
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues affecting multiple teams or systems;
- Strong communication and coaching skills for people using Jira;
- An asset: experience migrating from Jira Server or Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud;
- An asset: knowledge of the Atlassian ecosystem and experience with ScriptRunner, JSU, Structure, Xray, Rich Filters or comparable modules;
- An asset: experience with Jira integrations, application programming interfaces, Power BI, ShotGrid or comparable tools, or experience in video game production.
