This recruitment will be used to fill six (6) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Customer Service Representative for the Office of Graduate Admissions at Oregon State University (OSU).
The CSR contributes to the daily function of the Graduate Admissions Office. CSR answers incoming calls and walk-ins that inquire about admissions and current student requirements. They host daily live support hours via Zoom for applicants. This work will involve learning how to use the administrative side of the graduate application system and how to read application files as they process through the admission and review process.
The Student CSR is also responsible for official documents (transcripts and degree statement) intake via email, platform downloads, inter and process official documents received via online services, and the post. They will also collaborate with professional staff on assignments and perform other tasks to support the unit and department. The CSR will also support recruitment events when hosted or staffed by Graduate Admissions.
Graduate Admissions' primary mission is to create opportunities for access to graduate education. To this end, the Graduate Admissions initiates and implements policies and procedures and coordinates programs, courses, admissions standards, and degree requirements. The Office of Graduate Admission maintains thousands of records for applicants and current/former students. By its very nature, the Graduate Admissions’ role is central to the mission of OSU.
CSRs are expected to help create and maintain a non-discriminatory and educational environment.
