Under general supervision from equipment or maintenance superintendent, administrative superior, operates heavy motorized equipment and performs minor repair on equipment.

• Adheres to all OSHA and/or Ohio University required safety guidelines. Established pattern of good work habits and performance with good interpersonal skills.

• Operates any combination of the following heavy motorized equipment illustrated by but not limited to: complete variety of construction in maintenance projects (i.e., cherry pickers, 4-6 ton compactor, 7 ton dozer, excavator, over 23,000 lb. grader, low-boy, mud jack, backhoe, tractor and trailer, pull type paver, pavement grinder, 8-10 ton roller, truck mounted sewer cleaner, steamer, hand and hot liner striper, 10 ton sweeper, lowboy 10 ton tractor, 25,000 lb. to 35,000 lb. dump truck, all boom, platform and/or pounder trucks, traffic line remover, vac-all sweeper) and also operates any or all pieces of equipment operated by an Equipment Operator 1 as needed

• Makes minor repairs and adjustments to heavy motorized equipment (e.g., greases and oils machinery; checks tires and lights)

• Performs general labor, maintenance and other related functions; loads and unloads materials; checks for damages; completes reports and other paperwork

• Performs other related duties as required
