Do you want to work in a dynamic environment where safety, technology, and driving pleasure are at the center? We are now looking for an engaged and driven Driving Instructor for our Proving Grounds.
About the role
As a Driving Instructor, you are responsible for coordinating, developing, and implementing Volvo Cars' internal and external driver training programs. The role is central to ensuring that our test drivers and engineers have the right competence to perform their work in a safe and efficient manner.
You will work both strategically and operationally with training – from planning to implementation and follow-up.
Your main responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct driver training (theoretical and practical) • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding training needs and course content • Perform individual assessment and approval of participants • Actively coach participants during training • Develop and quality-assure training programs and materials • Update training materials • Ensure that training requirements are followed within the Volvo Cars organization
The position is based on daytime hours with flexible scheduling.
About you
We are looking for a confident, pedagogical, and engaged leader with a great interest in vehicles, traffic safety, and driving technique. You have very good knowledge of advanced driving and driving technique, as well as experience in training, coaching, and developing others. The role requires that you can assess practical driving skills in a professional and fair manner, while having the ability to communicate clearly and inspiringly to both individuals and groups.
To succeed in the role, you work in a structured and planned manner, with a good ability to organize and implement training initiatives effectively. You are service-oriented, responsible, and have a solution-oriented approach. As a person, you are flexible, social, and enjoy collaborating with others, while feeling confident in making your own decisions and working independently when the situation requires it.
We are looking for someone who has a driver's license with at least BE authorization and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. You have a technical or vehicle-related educational background and strong administrative skills.
