Job Description
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field;
- Mastery of knowledge regarding the pharmacology, toxicology, indications, combination therapy, adverse reactions, contraindications, and precautions of the promoted drugs;
- Must have completed company training and passed all assessments;
- Must not be subject to any legal or regulatory prohibitions against working as a pharmaceutical representative;
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and team management experience.
- Planning & Business Execution
- Develop and drive the execution of regional academic promotion plans based on company strategy, regional characteristics, and business needs;
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, and Commercial teams to set regional key objectives and action plans;
- Regularly analyze regional business progress, track the execution of key initiatives, and continuously optimize regional work plans;
- Guide the team in effectively scheduling customer interactions and academic promotion activities.
- Academic Promotion & Customer Engagement
Conduct and guide the team in carrying out academic promotion activities in accordance with the "Administrative Measures for Pharmaceutical Representatives," primarily including the following to key healthcare institution personnel:
- Conveying drug-related information;
- Communicating and assisting in the rational use of drugs;
- Collecting and providing feedback on clinical drug usage, adverse drug reactions, and clinical needs;
Additionally:
- Establish and maintain professional academic communication channels with key regional healthcare institutions and relevant professionals to promote the accurate dissemination of medical information related to disease areas and products;
- Organize and participate in regional academic conferences, disease education, and related professional activities;
- Guide the team in conducting professional customer interactions and academic exchange activities;
- Support healthcare professionals' understanding and awareness of products and disease-related information;
- Assist healthcare institutions in the rational use of drugs to support channel coverage and smooth business operations by providing drug-related information and academic support to healthcare professionals.
- Insight Generation & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collect and analyze regional market dynamics, customer needs, and team feedback;
- Consolidate regional business insights to support the optimization of business strategies;
- Maintain close collaboration with Marketing, Medical, Commercial, and other relevant teams to jointly support academic promotion activities;
- Promote the sharing of best practices and experience exchange within the region.
- People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and support team members in fulfilling their job responsibilities and development goals;
- Focus on employee behavior and competency improvement through regular one-on-one coaching, field visits, and development dialogues;
- Continuously enhance the team's professional capabilities and execution skills;
- Clarify team work goals, responsibilities, and expectations, and regularly track performance progress while providing feedback;
- Support talent recruitment, succession planning, and employee career development;
- Foster a team culture of active collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning.
- Compliance & Self Development
- Lead and embody company values, establishing a culture of integrity, compliance, and high performance;
- Effectively supervise and guide the team to ensure business activities are conducted in compliance;
- Ensure the team strictly adheres to national laws and regulations (including but not limited to the "Administrative Measures for Pharmaceutical Representatives") and all company policy requirements;
- Reasonably develop academic promotion activity plans and manage activity budgets based on legitimate business needs and company regulations to ensure the rational and compliant use of resources;
- Continuously improve leadership, product knowledge, and professional expertise in disease areas, and drive collective team growth;
- Complete all training and competency certifications required by the company.
