Job Description

The Data Analyst, specialized in audience analysis, will be the primary analyst responsible for analysis across several major game franchises; they will be tasked with collecting and analyzing customer data across their portfolio and answering all types of analytical questions posed by stakeholders in the business and marketing sectors. Working closely with production and marketing teams, you will provide clear insights into consumer behaviors, formulate strategic recommendations, and support audience-focused projects throughout a game's lifecycle, from acquisition to retention, brand awareness, and beyond. You will play a key role in decision-making, transforming data into concrete guidance that will directly influence how teams interact with their players.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Analysis

  • Create, manage, and distribute data and insights using analytics tools (SQL, Python)
  • Analyze customer data to gain knowledge, generate insights, create value, and support decision-making
  • Design and develop player clustering models to define and refine audience profiles throughout the game lifecycle
  • Maintain and update audience segmentations to ensure their relevance as player behaviors and business contexts evolve
  • Support brand awareness strategies by identifying audience overlaps between games and player migration trends
  • Identify audience segmentation levers, monitor their evolution, and their impact on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Apply various visualization techniques and design the content and presentation of data visuals

Project Management and Collaboration

  • Lead end-to-end analytical projects: define scope, plan, execute, and deliver, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned throughout the process
  • Track project progress, communicate on status, and manage priorities across multiple workstreams running simultaneously
  • Translate questions and business challenges raised by stakeholders into audience analysis projects
  • Act as the primary point of contact with stakeholder teams; understand brand and marketing objectives as well as major initiatives; determine the most relevant methodology to meet needs; provide relevant insights
  • Organize meetings and coordinate various stakeholders (finance, research, marketing, etc.)
  • Work closely with CRM and media teams, understand their technical environment and constraints, propose an approach tailored to their operational needs
  • Provide strategic audience recommendations to stakeholders

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Master's degree (MA/MBA) preferred, in marketing, market research, statistics, or econometrics
  • At least 2 years of experience as a data analyst
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis
  • Experience with clustering and segmentation methods (k-means, hierarchical clustering, RFM, or equivalent)
  • Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly on work progress
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and formulate strategic and concrete recommendations
  • Strong quantitative skills and experience using scientific analysis methods and quantitative analysis techniques
  • Experience working with lakehouse data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Proactivity and creativity in data handling
  • Proven experience presenting complex qualitative and quantitative data in a clear and compelling manner
  • Natural curiosity and analytical mindset; ability to question assumptions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
