How you help our customers

As a consultant, you help customers get the most out of AFAS software. You look beyond the question asked, take responsibility, and make a difference for customers.

You work on, among other things:

  • Answering substantive questions about our software.
  • Analyzing and improving business processes.
  • Translating customer questions into smart, working solutions.
  • Having substantive conversations and providing well-founded advice.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from consulting, support, product development, and success management.

You take responsibility, are a reliable sparring partner for customers and colleagues, and ensure that customers move forward.

How you grow in your role

You bring at least 1.5 years of experience working with customers or AFAS software. How that experience looks varies from person to person. What matters is that you know how to work with customers and that you want to continue developing yourself.

Because you already have that foundation, you start with a shortened traineeship. During the traineeship, you quickly become familiar with our way of working, software, and customers. On average, you grow into a consultant role within a year.

Phase 1

  • You learn about AFAS, our software, and our way of working.
  • You independently take on customer questions and learn to set priorities.
  • You combine practical work with targeted training, both for the software and for soft skills.
  • You learn how to give advice and align expectations.

Phase 2

  • You participate in consulting projects.
  • You actively think about solutions for customers.
  • You take on increasing responsibility within customer cases.
  • You present your advice and learn to justify your choices.

How you make an impact with customers

After the traineeship, you work as a consultant with customers to set up and improve their processes. You look on, ask the right questions, and discover where things can be done smarter. Not only in the software, but also in the way customers work.

You translate customer questions into solutions they can actually use. You think along, but also dare to make choices and honestly say what you think works best. This ensures that improvements don't remain loose ideas, but are actually implemented. Customers work smarter with AFAS and move forward step by step. And you directly see what your work delivers and grow along with it.
