As an Assistant Operator within the sANDT department, you support our Operators in carrying out NDT work. You ensure that everything is well prepared on site and learn the trade through practical experience. We provide intensive guidance and ensure that you are trained and equipped with all necessary certifications. This way, you build a career step by step with many growth opportunities within the dynamic NDT sector.
The sANDT department focuses primarily on non-standardized NDT assignments. This means working on customized solutions, thinking in possibilities, and great variety in projects. Conventional NDT also occurs, but is not the main focus of this department.
What you do:

You ensure that all materials, tools, instruments, and equipment are ready for the work;

You assist in transporting and placing equipment at the work location;

You help Operators carry out work on site by following instructions carefully and thinking practically;

You ensure that work is carried out in accordance with environmental and safety regulations and established work processes/procedures;

You maintain and manage (at a basic level) the materials and equipment assigned to you;
-
You work extensively on site throughout the Netherlands (and sometimes beyond) and are therefore flexibly deployable.

Your profile
We are looking for someone who enjoys practical work, is meticulous, and is motivated to develop further within the NDT sector. You are open to learning and deepening your knowledge of the trade, with the goal of growing and certifying yourself as an NDT professional. We guide you in this and cover the training and certification costs.
Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

You have at least MBO 4 level of work and thinking;

You work carefully, follow instructions precisely, and handle materials and equipment properly;

You are safety-conscious and find it self-evident to work according to procedures;

You are flexibly deployable (working at different locations is part of it);

You are in possession of a category B driving license;

You have a can-do attitude and enjoy working together in a team.
About the department
The sANDT department is part of the BU Center of Expertise, where we work with a diverse team of experts on innovative solutions. You are part of an informal, no-nonsense organization consisting of 6 Technical Specialists and a Team Leader. Within this team, we like to get things done and work from an honest and open culture.
The team is based at our Rotterdam location but works extensively at customer sites throughout the country and sometimes beyond national borders.
