Reports directly to the Analytics Consulting Manager and collaborates closely with the analytical model development professional, the Advanced Analytics team, business consulting, business development, the commercial area, project management, and technology platforms. You will have direct exposure to both internal and external clients and act as a bridge between business, regulation, and analytics. You are responsible for projects from start to finish: understanding needs, data preparation, data evaluation, methodological design, development, validation, documentation, presentation, transfer (training), implementation, validation, and certification of statistical models.
Within the purposes of the position are:
ü Accompany our clients in the development of custom analytical solutions, such as developing, calibrating, validating, and monitoring expected loss models, scoring models, segmentations, custom studies, decision policies, macroeconomic projections, provisioning systems, and other analytical needs that Experian-associated entities present on a day-to-day basis.
ü Guide, develop, and validate developments made by factory collaborators aimed at providing solutions to various needs around the credit cycle (origination, maintenance, and collection) of our clients, from a critical point of view in terms of analytics and business knowledge depending on the type of project assigned.
ü Implement control mechanisms at each phase of development to ensure the quality of deliverables, whether in internal review processes or in interactions with clients. For example, quality controls on data, assumptions, code, results, documentation, and presentations; ensuring reproducibility, traceability, and consistency between deliverables.
ü Propose regional methodologies and generic products, accompanying development and maintenance so that all statistical and business assumptions are validated for the good performance of the solutions according to their market, guaranteeing the acceptance of our clients.
ü Generate innovative, explainable, stable, and implementable analyses that support business decisions and consolidate the specialist as a technical and consultative reference for the team, generating value for the organization and its clients.
ü Integrate, in accordance with organizational policies, artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity, drive innovation, and strengthen the quality of analysis, programming, documentation, automation, and preparation of deliverables; involving professional judgment, methodological, legal, compliance, and applicable risk controls.
Job Responsibilities:
ü Direct, develop, validate, calibrate, and monitor generic or custom analytical solutions, ensuring the quality and accuracy of deliverables. For example, expected loss models, provisions, macroeconomic forecasting, origination, portfolio management, collection, recovery, and fraud.
ü Design statistical, econometric, or machine learning methodologies appropriate to the problem, justifying assumptions, variables, metrics, samples, horizons, and applied treatments.
ü Preparation of strategic deliverables aligned with client objectives and oriented toward decision-making in conjunction with the Experian team and its clients.
ü Presentation of results in person or virtually to technical, business, and executive audiences, translating quantitative findings into actionable implications and recommendations; ensuring clear, professional communication aligned with company standards.
ü Ensure compliance with delivery times to our clients while maintaining quality standards.
ü Ensure technical reviews and controls on data consistency, calculation logic, code, results, documentation, and traceability between inputs and estimates (outputs).
ü Collaborate in the construction of various generic products that have a high statistical load.
ü Lead and guide the development team in building analytical solutions, promoting knowledge transfer and the application of effective methodologies.
ü Simultaneously manage projects and requirements from different contexts, prioritizing activities and adapting solutions without losing regional methodological consistency.
ü Innovate in the use of new statistical methodologies that allow for better indicators in the different statistical models being developed.
ü Automate repetitive processes and build reusable components to optimize delivery times and improve the quality of deliverables offered to our clients.
ü Sufficiently document methodological decisions, limitations, usage risks, results, recommendations, and future work so that the solution can be reproduced, audited, maintained, and improved.
ü Manage and make responsible use of artificial intelligence tools to support the development of analytical projects in compliance with the organization's current policies and guidelines on artificial intelligence. This includes protecting personal, confidential, and restricted information, maintaining human oversight and validation, ensuring the traceability of their use, and evaluating the accuracy, relevance, and potential biases of the results.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Professional in statistics, computer science, mathematics, actuarial science, economics, finance, industrial engineering, or related fields with solid training in statistics, probability, econometrics, and data analysis; as well as basic knowledge of finance or financial risks. A specialization or master's degree in statistics, data science, econometrics, financial risks, quantitative finance, or related fields is valued.
- Minimum of three years of experience in analytical areas oriented toward credit risk, financial services, or analytical consulting. Must demonstrate participation in the development, validation, and monitoring of statistical and machine learning models, in the preparation of deliverables for clients, and simultaneous management of activities.
- Intermediate-high level of programming in Python; basic elements in SQL, Spark, R Project, or Julia. Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised models such as: time series, clustering, segmentation, regression, decision trees, classification techniques, machine learning, model validation, and monitoring. Experience in data quality, testing, version control, automation, and visualization.
- Knowledge of the credit cycle, financial products, delinquency analysis, vintages, transition matrices, recoveries, expected loss, accounting or regulatory provisions, macroeconomic forecasting, model governance, and data protection. Must have the ability to understand and apply regulatory particularities of different sectors, contexts, and countries in Latin America.
- Management and teamwork, ability to execute several projects at the same time, excellent effective communication skills (oral and written), critical thinking, quantitative rigor, consultative orientation, business understanding, project management, prioritization, autonomy, negotiation, functional leadership, self-management, compliance and timeliness, negotiation with clients and stakeholders, mentoring, results-oriented with high quality standards.
