About Piktochart

Who We Are

Piktochart is a visual communication platform serving more than 14 million users. We are a fun, curious, and diverse bunch of 44 people hailing from 15 nationalities, all working towards one mission — empowering people to communicate impactful stories.

Piktochart was started in 2011 when co-founders Ai Ching Goh and Andrea founded Yet Another Studio — a graphic design agency based in Penang, Malaysia. Our first do-it-yourself infographic platform was born from 4 people working day and night out of a small Penang-based warehouse. Today, Piktochart is a suite of visual and video tools spanning infographics, presentations, AI design generators, video, and brand kit.

In March 2026, Piktochart was acquired by ThriveCart — a creator commerce platform — to add AI-powered visual content creation to ThriveCart's checkout, course, and membership infrastructure. Piktochart continues to operate under its own brand and careers funnel.

Where will I work?

We are fully remote and operate globally. Open roles published on the careers page span APAC/EU, US/UK, and Philippines time zones. The Penang office remains the founding location.

What is the Piktochart team like?

Our values spell HOPEFUL:

  • H is for Humble — open to feedback and to learning from our mistakes
  • O is for Openness — transparency is key; we encourage employees and users to honestly voice what is on their minds
  • P is for Passionate — developers, designers, marketers, and support staff who care about building the best visual storytelling tool on the internet
  • E is for Excellence — we aim for excellence but refuse to let perfection hold us back
  • F is for Fun — we pride ourselves on hiring genuinely awesome and sometimes quirky team members; F also stands for the Foosball table in the office
  • U is for User-focused — laser-focused on what's best for our users
  • L is for Love — we do things out of love

The careers page emphasises "We try to hire few but excellent individuals who can beat their personal best without 'hustling' and sacrificing work-life balance. We do not have the ambition of IPO-ing or becoming the Goliath in our space. We aim to keep sustainable growth while delivering the best-in-class visual communication experience that our users love." At Piktochart, "you become a manager of one. There's no need to wait for orders. Go ahead and set your own goals and execute them."

Work-Life Balance

Piktochart trialed a 4-day work week starting Q4 2020. The trial was announced publicly by co-founder and CEO Ai Ching Goh via LinkedIn: "We believe that by prioritizing our people, we will be able to build better products and a successful, sustainable business for the long run." The original cadence was Monday–Thursday with 6 alternative Fridays off per quarter; Sales and Customer Support chose their own days off. The arrangement has continued at Piktochart since the experiment ended successfully.

Perks and Benefits

The careers page is concise on benefits, leaning into the cultural commitments captured in the HOPEFUL values and the 4-day work week. We are 100% remote, set your own schedule under the autonomy norm ("manager of one"), and operate with a focused team of 44 people. Hiring is rigorous: a 5-stage process (Application → Pre-Screening → Interview rounds → Offer → Reference check) reflects the "hire few but excellent" approach.
