About Lido

What is Lido?

Lido is the protocol behind liquid staking on Ethereum — "Empowering and securing Ethereum since 2020." Through Lido, anyone can stake ETH and receive stETH, a token offering "Secure and liquid ETH staking" that stays usable across DeFi while it earns rewards. stETH is integrated across the ecosystem — Ledger Live, MetaMask, OKX, Safe, Cow Swap and more — and extends to institutional staking and Lido Multichain. The protocol has since expanded into Lido Earn, whose non-custodial vaults deploy over $100m across curated on-chain yield strategies, plus stVaults (Lido V3) for tailored, validator-of-choice staking setups. Lido is governed by the Lido DAO, with on-chain and Snapshot voting, a public research forum, and a Dual Governance framework — and is run day-to-day by contributors to independent entities (the Lido Labs Foundation and Lido Ecosystem Foundation) dedicated to "supporting the growth and resilience of the Lido protocol."

Where will I work?

Lido is fully remote and globally distributed. Every open role is listed as "Worldwide," and the team describes itself as a "remote-first environment" — postings invite candidates to "Contribute remotely" from wherever they are ("Location: Globally remote"). There is no headquarters office requirement; this is a work-from-anywhere setup built around decentralised, distributed contribution.

What is the Lido team like?

Lido's people are "contributors" to a decentralised, open-source ecosystem rather than employees of a conventional company — work happens across the Lido Labs and Lido Ecosystem Foundations and the Lido DAO. The culture rewards autonomy and ownership: roles call for an "ownership mindset — you treat problems as yours to solve, not to escalate," the ability "to work autonomously and proactively identify issues," and comfort "working with decentralised teams, open-source initiatives, or protocol-based ecosystems." Teams collaborate cross-functionally — engineering, DevOps, SecOps, treasury, legal, business development — and represent decisions transparently in DAO governance and community forums. Expect a fast-moving, technically deep environment Lido calls "one of crypto's most important ecosystems."

Work-Life Balance

Lido offers a flexible schedule — multiple roles list "Flexible schedule" among their key factors — alongside fully remote, globally distributed work. That combination lets contributors structure their own hours and work from any location, without commuting or fixed in-office days. Note that some positions are structured as fixed-term contracts (for example, the Lido Earn role is a 12-month contract), so exact arrangements vary by role.

Perks and Benefits

Lido backs its remote model with practical, contributor-focused support. Postings list equipment and co-working reimbursement, so you're set up wherever you work. Lido funds growth with "support for education, including language and professional growth courses." It also brings the distributed team together through "opportunities to attend overseas conferences and ecosystem events" and community immersion. Compensation is competitive and, for some roles, includes a performance bonus — the Lido Earn lead role, for instance, lists a published salary band with an additional "performance-based component based on vaults' yield."
