Who We Are

Kitfox Games, founded in 2013 and based in Montreal, Canada, is an independent game studio dedicated to developing and publishing innovative and high-quality games. Co-founded by Tanya X. Short and Xin Ran Liu, our team is composed of 14 passionate professionals united in their mission to create intriguing worlds for players to explore.

We value respect, continuous learning, creativity, and mastery of our craft. As an indie studio, we've built a reputation for taking creative risks and supporting bold, unconventional game experiences that challenge the status quo of the gaming industry.

What We Do

Our portfolio includes acclaimed titles such as "Dwarf Fortress," "Boyfriend Dungeon," and "Caves of Qud." We focus on creating unique and engaging experiences, often exploring new genres and gameplay mechanics that blend unexpected elements—from dungeon-crawling romance simulators to deep simulation games with intricate systems.

Our latest projects, "Streets of Fortuna" and "Loose Leaf," continue this tradition of innovation. We aim to push the boundaries of game design, blending deep simulation with compelling narratives to captivate our players. Whether we're developing games in-house or publishing titles from other indie creators, we're committed to supporting games that dare to be different.
