About Good Rebels

What is Good Rebels?

Good Rebels is a Madrid-based digital marketing and transformation agency, founded in 1997 and rebranded from Territorio Creativo. A certified B Corp, it describes its people as "kind-hearted people who aren't afraid to rebel" and helps brands become more human-centred where "design meets technology, logic creates magic, data fuses with creativity."

The group spans five specialised divisions — Good Rebels (creative, with 25-plus years' experience), Territorio (business consultancy), Muskae (design, branding and innovation), Aukera (analytics and data) and Estudio34 (performance, SEO and SEM) — covering strategy, design and development, social and CRM, data and marketing technology. It works with major brands including Decathlon, Repsol, Santander, LG, Bauhaus and Domino's.

Where will I work?

Good Rebels is remote-first: in its own words, "we work remotely when and where we want," with "no timetable." The agency has more than 100 people across offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao in Spain, Brighton in the UK, and Mexico City, but day-to-day work is built around autonomy rather than office attendance.

What is the Good Rebels team like?

Good Rebels runs on a deliberately flat, "leadertarian" model — "we don't like bosses" — with self-organised teams that decentralise decision-making and encourage feedback and critical thinking. Pay is radically transparent: "we know what everyone earns (including partners and dividends) and we set our salaries collectively," and the highest salaries are only about four times the lowest. Learning runs deep, too: more than 40% of Rebels are university professors, business-school teachers or conference speakers. The agency is led by CEO Fernando Polo, with co-founder Juan Luis Polo.

Work-Life Balance

Since July 2021, Good Rebels has worked a four-day week (Monday to Thursday) on a 100-80-100 model — "100% de la productividad, 80% del tiempo, 100% del salario." Salaries were not cut to fund it: "No, no hemos bajado los sueldos. Al contrario … La subida media ha sido del 10%." A year in, the company reported per-capita income up 7% and year-on-year sales up 18% with only 11% more headcount, alongside large gains in reported productivity and energy. Vacation is self-managed: teams negotiate time off and "no one controls how many days we take."
