Who We Are
CONQA is a quality-first construction field management platform used by site teams to capture evidence, report accurately, and accelerate payments. Founded in 2015, our story stems from the burden of paperwork in construction: site supervisors, managers, and engineers on large projects grappling with administrative overhead tied to the quality assurance process. We replace paper-based workflows with mobile-first digital tools.
Co-founded by CEO Daniel O'Donoghue and COO Barney Chunn, CONQA is headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand with a presence in Australia. We have now "worked with thousands of companies around the world, helping them to complete hundreds of thousands of checklists and send millions of reports."

Work-Life Balance
CONQA implemented a 32-hour, 4-day working week at 100% pay in 2022, using the Perpetual Guardian 100-80-100 method (100% pay, 80% time, 100% productivity). Co-founder and COO Barney Chunn has publicly discussed the policy in a Radio New Zealand interview and on LinkedIn:
"We were getting as much if not more done than before, and with a really high quality of output." When CONQA announced the 4-day week publicly, "the calibre and the numbers of good candidates jumped." Friday is the day off ("plant shopping with my boy on Fridays").
The arrangement has been in place since 2022 and continues to be in force.
