What is CloudCannon?
CloudCannon is a CMS platform for static websites — used by developers, content editors, and marketers to collaborate on visual editing of Jekyll, Hugo, Eleventy, Next.js and Astro sites. The homepage tagline as of May 2026: "✨ 40+ ready-made Astro components, built for visual editing — clone them, brand them, ship them! 🚀"
The careers page greets visitors with "Haere mai!" — Māori for welcome — and describes the team philosophy: "We're a friendly team who value lifestyle, work/life balance, and self-direction. We're passionate about evangelizing static websites and working with others who do the same."
Where will I work?
CloudCannon is based in Dunedin, New Zealand. From the careers page: "Based in Dunedin, New Zealand, we are well placed for you to get away from the hustle and bustle in a growing, dynamic city with easy access to beautiful outdoor spaces." Flexible work is offered — "we offer working hours that suit you, as well as flexible arrangements and subsidies for working from home."
What is the CloudCannon team like?

Annual leave grows with tenure: "With every year of employment, you'll gain an extra day of annual leave to add to your total, up to 25 days."
