Trainer Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

As an NDT Trainer, you are the technical figurehead for Non-Destructive Testing within the Competence Training Center (CTC) of Applus+. You combine in-depth technical expertise with strong didactic skills and know how to convey complex subject matter clearly and in a practice-oriented manner.

In addition to delivering high-quality NDT training, you are co-responsible for the content quality and further development of the training offering. You advise clients at a high level on training and certification options and actively contribute to positioning Applus+ as a knowledge leader within the NDT field.

Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering NDT training at levels 1, 2, and 3 for both internal and external candidates;

• Co-responsibility for the content, quality, and currency of NDT training;

• Developing and updating training based on customer needs and (inter)national standards and guidelines such as ISO 9712 and SNT-TC-1A;

• Developing, assessing, and maintaining training materials, including essential knowledge areas;

• Advising clients on training and certification options within the NDT field;

• Initiating and leading improvement and professionalization initiatives within the CTC.

• A competitive salary between €4.550,- and €5.720,-, depending on knowledge and experience;

Your profile

Our future Trainer has:

• HBO/WO level of education and thinking;

• Valid NDT certifications at level 3 (one or more methods, such as UT, RT, VT, MT, and/or PT);

• Authorization to deliver NDT level 3 training;

• Thorough knowledge of essential knowledge areas such as Materials Science and Welding Techniques;

• Extensive work experience within the Non-Destructive Testing field, preferably in industrial or petrochemical industry;

• Good command of both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing;

• Strong didactic skills and the ability to transfer knowledge effectively;

• Coaching qualities and the ability to guide fellow trainers on content;

• A proactive, quality- and customer-oriented attitude.

About the department

The CTC provides training and examinations in the field of NDT, Inspections, and Ionizing Radiation. We do this for both internal and external candidates, from our training institute in Rotterdam and on-site at customer locations.

You will join a professional and committed team with a no-nonsense mentality and an informal, Rotterdam culture. You report to the CTC Team Leader, who is part of the management of the Business Unit Center of Expertise (CoE).
