Description
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and making a visible difference in the community? We are looking for a dependable Technician II to join the Public Works Grounds team and help maintain medians, landscaped areas, and other City facilities.
This position will perform technical duties in the maintenance of city grounds, right-of-way, properties, and other general labor needs.

Examples of Duties

- Mows grass, trims trees and shrubs, maintains medians and flower beds, and collects litter.
- Operates various equipment, power tools, and hand tools in the performance of job duties; performs preventative and corrective maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Assists with mosquito control, fertilization and weed control, and irrigation installation, maintenance, and repairs as needed.
- Assists with special events and other departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: No direct supervision exercised.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a valid driver license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) years’ experience in general grounds maintenance and operating commercial mowers and trimmers.
