  • Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight

  • $99,136 pa + 12% super (level 5)

  • 72.5 hour fortnight

  • Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.

  • Location: Narangba

Join City of Moreton Bay as a Technical Officer – Building & Facilities - Project Services and play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening our communities, now and into the future.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering multi-year building renewal programs and implementing technical specifications across design and construction projects, working closely with our internal building and construction specialists.

You will also:

  • Manage allocated projects and tendered contracts through the full project lifecycle
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of quality management systems
  • Prepare, develop and review procurement, tender and contract documentation
  • Provide expert technical advice to management and key stakeholders
  • Support the growth of local suppliers while identifying and engaging new supplier opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal and external service providers, contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure projects meet quality, safety and performance standards

About you

We’re looking for your ability to provide specialist project and operational advice, apply a range of technical expertise and to deliver on work priorities for various stakeholders. You’ll also bring:

  • Well-developed people and relationship management skills
  • Strong level of investigative, analytical, research and technical report writing
  • Well-developed project and risk management skills
  • Degree in building, project management, construction or other relevant field highly regarded or relevant industry experience
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Construction Induction Card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 2 years.
