The Opportunity

Our System Test team is tasked with test planning, test scenario design, test case

development and test automation suite development, to assess and improve the overall

quality of our products, especially Prism Central. The role encompasses influencing

product design by leveraging the wide knowledge of the product portfolio, continuous

improvement using keen eye for system performance, scalability aspects and ensuring

that a quality-first mindset is instituted within our development practices. Also,

automation of complex tests that mimic customer environments and workloads to

ensure performance and scalability baselines

About the Team

At Nutanix, you will join the Prod Integration & System Testing QA team. Our team is

located across diJerent regions, yet we collaborate seamlessly to achieve our shared

You will report to Senior Manager or Director of Engineering, a seasoned leader who

oJers mentorship and guidance to help you excel in your role. The work setup at Nutanix

is hybrid, requiring employees to be in the oJice for 3 days a week, promoting a balance

between collaborative in-person work and remote flexibility. This setup allows for team

bonding and knowledge sharing while also respecting individual preferences for remote

work.

Your Role

We are looking for passionate and highly motivated individuals who can own the end to

end quality of Prism Central Product. This includes having a clear understanding of the

business requirements, preparing comprehensive test plans, developing, executing and

automating test scenarios based on the test plan and handing over the automated

scripts to the regression team and providing support in maintenance of the scripts in an

agile environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to

    validate the System , Scale and performance of Prism Central services.

  • Develop test automation framework(s) using Python.

  • Implement required API and UI Tests services using Python and simulate end-to-end workflow test cases according to defined requirements for Stress, Scale and Performance testing.

  • Execute both manual and automated tests to ensure the precision and dependability of infrastructure services.

  • Engage in eJective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers and QAs of service teams, to grasp requirements and gather scenarios and then simulate via Mock service approach.

  • Identify, document, and track defects until resolution, upholding software

    quality and integrity.

  • Measure Product quality in terms of stress, scalability, high availability and

    usability of the product features

What You Will Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related stream is required.

  • Must have 3+ years of experience.

  • Experience in testbed environment bring up for Scale, System, and Performance

    Testing.

  • Experience in debugging and troubleshooting system-related issues like CPU,

    Memory, Network and Storage.

  • Experience in using ELK Stack for (Elastic Search, Kibana, Logstash) or

    equivalent framework for debugging.

  • Strong programming experience for Test Automation with Python language.

  • Hands-on experience with testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Postman and

    Jmeter.

  • Experience in test case automation, regression execution, system testing ,

    performance testing and integration testing.

  • Experience in developing clean, maintainable automated tests for REST API and

    server components.

  • Experience in writing and debugging automation tests for a complex enterprise

    software.

  • Experience of testing any cloud-based applications.

  • Experience in distributed systems / HCI / Kubernetes / microservices.

  • Experience in working/troubleshooting in a Linux environment

  • Understanding of APIs & Cloud Infrastructures services is a plus

Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Pay Transparency - Role Location The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $162,400 and CAD $243,600 per annual.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
