The Surveyor tasks consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that the appropriate parameters are entered in the navigation software and hydroacoustic system software;
  • Operating and performing maintenance on all Survey equipment aboard the vessel;
  • Preparing and keeping updated the cable interconnection diagrams that should be submitted to the Survey Coordinator for prior evaluation;
  • Depending on the task to be performed, coordinating operations between the ROV, the vessel and other units around;
  • Being familiar with the technical requirements of each operation, seeking to reduce the risk of personal and material accidents/incidents in their execution;
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and ensuring that all are in excellent working condition, as well as keeping updated the maintenance history of equipment aboard and reports of preventive and corrective maintenance;
  • Working together with the ROV and other sectors aboard, assisting in maintenance related to installed Survey equipment;
  • Participating in the planning and execution of mobilization and demobilization, ensuring that the equipment to be used complies with contractual requirements, technical and safety standards required and the respective copies of their certificates are included and will be filed aboard;
  • Knowing and maintaining image distribution systems (ROV / Navipac / Sonar / HIPAP / Video Link);
  • Monitoring with the Survey Coordinator pending material requests and ensuring that the inventory of spare parts and consumables aboard is updated;
  • Correctly filling out WRF/ EF / NCR/ RDO/ wwDPR originated by the Survey sector aboard, understanding that these reports should be clear and detailed to provide all necessary information to land-based technical support (in the case of wwDPR, only when relevant);

Requirements:

  • Technical course in Electronics or Technical course in Building/Roads or Technical course in Electrotechnics or Technical course in IT or Data Processing or completed degree in Oceanography, Cartography or Geology or Marine Biology or Geography

Experience:

  • Experience in the Survey area;

Knowledge:

  • Navipac

  • Sonar

  • HIPAP

  • Video Link

  • Notions of Cartography

  • Basic IT Knowledge

  • Risk Analysis;

  • Environmental Awareness;

  • Advanced English
