At Volvo Cars Electric Driveline Prototype Build, you are part of a dedicated Engineering team responsible for building and delivering prototype objects with a primary focus on electric motors.
What we offer
We work in early development phases, closely with product development, to deliver prototype objects for verification and testing. We have extensive cross-functional collaboration with other departments within Volvo Cars to ensure the right conditions for our operations and support with our expertise and knowledge.
The role of station manager is a developmental position and an exciting opportunity to learn more about the work of developing and manufacturing electric motors.
The team is located in Floby but organizationally belongs to Engineering in Gothenburg.
What you will do
As a station manager, you are the core of the operation where you build our prototype objects and ensure that they are built according to the specified requirements, meet the right quality standards, and that the equipment within your area of responsibility functions correctly.
The role involves varied tasks where you will daily engage in logistics management, problem-solving, planning, and deviation analysis.
You actively contribute to improvement work that enhances processes, methods, and working environment within your area of responsibility. Together with the team, you ensure that our joint deliveries meet customer expectations.
We believe that you have a genuine interest in deepening your knowledge within your area of responsibility and strive to become an expert on your equipment/station.
You and your skills
We are looking for someone with a technical upper secondary education or equivalent work experience and a genuine interest in contributing to the development of future electric motors.
You are a humble person who takes initiative to develop both yourself and the business.
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office).
You hold a B-category driving license and are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We place great emphasis on good collaboration skills and that you actively contribute with open dialogue in the forums where you operate.
We believe that you are practical, methodical, and responsible with a good ability to work both independently and in a group.
