Senior Financial Accountant

About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing European fintech with a client base spanning banks, insurers, and financial institutions across the DACH region and beyond.
What You Will Do
- Handle end-to-end bookkeeping for the German entity
- Oversee external accounting service providers supporting international branches.
- Run day-to-day accounting functions.
- Drive ongoing improvements to accounting workflows.
- Be the go-to person for wage tax matters, liaising closely with the payroll team.
- Guarantee timely, audit-ready monthly and annual closings prepared under German GAAP (HGB).
About You
- 5+ years of accounting experience, certified accountant qualification a plus.
- Strong HGB knowledge; payroll, IFRS, ZAG experience helpful.
- Fluent German and English.
- Structured, analytical, and independent working style.
