As a Senior Back-End Programmer, you will lead the development and integration of back-end systems for 7 Days to Die. This role focuses on building and maintaining online services, integrating existing technologies such as Kraken, and supporting system migrations. You will also collaborate closely with designers, and central technology teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
In this role you will: Design, write, and maintain robust, secure, testable, and efficient server-side code. Develop highly available and highly scalable distributed systems on AWS. Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs. Design data models, optimize queries, and ensure data security and integrity across relational and non-relational databases. Perform load tests, identify bottlenecks, debug complex distributed systems, and improve the overall performance and scalability of the backend infrastructure. Implement and maintain robust security protocols, authentication, and data protection measures.
What we're looking for: 8+ years in backend development on a major cloud environment: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure. Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages; Python, Java, C#, Go, TypeScript, etc. Experience with modern async frameworks: Vert.x, Quarkus, .NET Core, FastAPI, Sanic, etc. Solid understanding of database design and management. SQL and/or NoSQL. Environment development and deployment through automated repeatable code.
