The internship is on-site at our laboratory in CABA. Monday to Friday, 4 hours during the day.
We are looking for students in their 3rd year of their degree, with 3 semesters still remaining to complete.
We will only consider students who clearly outline in their CV or cover letter the year they are currently in and the number of semesters they still have to complete.

About the position
The Quality Control intern is responsible for contributing to key functional, tactical, and operational aspects of the Quality Control group at Biogen's facilities in Argentina. This includes performing environmental quality control tests, as well as routine physical-chemical and microbiological product analyses to support their release and distribution in Argentina, and all activities associated with the execution of these tests following cGMP standards and the requirements of local health authorities.
Responsibilities
Routine physical-chemical analysis of finished product for commercial release:
- pH measurement
- Appearance test
- Osmolality measurement
- Moisture content determination (Karl Fischer)
- HPLC analysis (content uniformity, assay, impurities and related substances, size-exclusion chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography, peptide mapping, protein concentration)
- Dissolution test
- Protein identification and concentration by UV spectrophotometry
- Identification by Raman spectroscopy
Quality Control (QC) and environmental monitoring: cleanroom monitoring (air particle counting, surface monitoring, viable air particles). Monthly monitoring of purified water (microbial load of water, nitrate content, TOC, conductivity).
Monitoring of temperature-controlled chambers, weekly data review, quarterly trend review, and annual report.
Activities associated with cGMP:
- Growth promotion testing of microbiological culture media. Strain identification.
- Monthly verification of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Periodic cleaning of temperature-controlled chambers.
- Interaction with the warehouse. Collection of finished product for quality control tests. Proper documentation and storage of quality retention samples.
Support the Quality Control (QC) laboratory stock, as well as ensure the inventory of laboratory reference materials (assay controls and reference materials).
