Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist- Weekend
Full‑Time | Salisbury, MD
Salary Range: $40,000–$55,000 annually
Schedule: 3‑Day, 30-hour Work Week (Friday-Sunday)
Position Summary
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist plays a key role in supporting clients on their recovery journey. Using the principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation—including empowerment, self‑determination, healing-centered, community integration, skill development, and a strengths‑based approach—the Specialist helps clients identify meaningful life goals and develop the skills, supports, and confidence needed to achieve them. This position includes shared responsibility for the caseload within a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing skill development interventions to support independence in daily living, social functioning, and community integration.
- Document progress, outcomes, and service delivery in accordance with program and regulatory standards.
- Deliver high‑quality, safety-centered services that align with HealthPort’s mission of providing sanctuary, support, and recovery‑oriented care.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating healthy coping strategies, professionalism, and ethical practice.
- Coordinate care with internal and external providers to promote holistic and integrated services.
- Support clients in managing their healthcare needs, including scheduling, follow‑ups, wellness planning, and health literacy.
- Conduct regular home visits to evaluate and reinforce safety, cleanliness, and daily living skills.
- Promote community inclusion by connecting clients with resources, educational opportunities, and natural supports.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- A minimum of one to two years of experience working with individuals with behavioral health disorders is preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, maintain professional boundaries, and support recovery‑oriented care.
