As a Packaging Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing activities related to the packaging, labeling, and conditioning of pharmaceutical or biological products, ensuring that quality standards, regulatory requirements, and established schedules are met. This position requires leadership skills, team management, and technical knowledge of the conditioning process. Furthermore, this role is key to ensuring that products reach the market while meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Process supervision:

  • Coordinate and oversee personnel activities on the conditioning lines.

  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Monitor production line performance and manage cycle times.

Personnel management:

  • Lead, train, and motivate the conditioning team.

  • Conduct performance evaluations and propose improvement actions.

  • Manage shift assignments and staff rotation.

Quality control:

  • Verify that conditioning meets established quality standards.

  • Supervise in-process controls and final checks of conditioned batches.

  • Collaborate with quality and production departments to resolve deviations.

Regulatory compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to conditioning.

  • Participate in internal and external audits.

  • Implement improvements to ensure regulatory compliance and efficiency.

Operational management:

  • Supervise the proper use of equipment and coordinate its preventive maintenance.

  • Manage the inventory of packaging materials (boxes, labels, containers, etc.).

  • Ensure compliance with established production schedules.

Documentation:

  • Review and approve batch records, daily reports, and documentation associated with conditioning.

  • Keep records of operations performed on the lines up to date.

About You

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related fields.

  • Desirable: certifications in GMP, ISO 9001, or Six Sigma.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in conditioning areas, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

  • Previous experience in team supervision.

Soft and technical skills:

  • Handling of conditioning equipment (packaging machines, labeling, etc.).

  • Knowledge of GMP, regulatory standards, and in-process controls.

  • Skills in planning and project management.

  • Leadership and decision-making ability.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Organization and results-oriented.

Languages:

  • English: Intermediate
