Job Description

Provide first-level operational support for network services, connectivity, and telecommunications at corporate headquarters in Colombia, Peru, Chile, and Panama, ensuring timely attention to requests and incidents related to LAN infrastructure, Wi-Fi, remote VPN access, and telephony.

Purpose of the role:

Provide first-level support for network and communications services at the corporate campus, managing connectivity requests, resolving operational incidents, and coordinating escalation of complex cases to ensure the availability and proper functioning of the technological infrastructure that supports business operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure timely attention to requests related to LAN connectivity, VPN, Wi-Fi, and telephony.

  2. Execute first-level support operational activities following the procedures and standards defined by the organization.

  3. Analyze and resolve basic network and connectivity incidents for end users in Colombia and Peru.

  4. Properly document all activities executed in management platforms.

  5. Identify situations requiring specialized support in a timely manner and manage the corresponding escalation.

  6. Maintain ongoing communication with users, vendors, and support teams to ensure proper incident management.

  7. Follow up on incidents related to telecommunications circuits until resolution.

  8. Comply with service level agreements (SLAs) established for request and incident handling.

  9. Ensure proper use and allocation of connectivity resources, VPN access, and RSA token authentication.
    
  10. Contribute to maintaining operational availability of network and communications services at the campus.

Qualifications

Education:

• Technician, technologist, or student in final semesters of Systems Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields.

• Desirable certification or basic courses in networks and technological infrastructure support.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in technical support, service desk, or basic network administration.

• Experience in end-user support and ticket management.

• Desirable experience in corporate environments with multiple locations or remote users.

Required Technical Knowledge:

• LAN/WAN network fundamentals.

• IP addressing (IPv4).

• Basic concepts of switching and network connectivity.

• Wireless network support (Wi-Fi).

• Basic VPN access administration.

• Basic multifactor authentication management (RSA Tokens).

• Basic knowledge of telephony under Teams.

• Incident and request management tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar).

• Basic knowledge of telecommunications vendors and data circuits.

Note: Training can be provided internally.
