As an NDO Operator in Hengelo, you play an important role in assessing the quality and reliability of materials and structures. Using various NDO techniques, you examine whether everything is functioning properly and meets the specified requirements. You perform this work largely on-site at customer locations, where you work independently.

You conduct inspections and are able to clearly communicate your findings back to the customer. You maintain an overview and ensure that everything is recorded accurately. You process the results of your work into clear reports, so that all stakeholders are well informed (yes, even when things are busy).

In short, you will be involved in:

  • Performing and assessing non-destructive examinations according to fixed methods and guidelines, from preparation to reporting;

  • Preparing, checking and, where necessary, calibrating materials, tools and measuring equipment before starting work;

  • Pre-treating surfaces to be examined, such as cleaning and degreasing, so that measurements can be carried out correctly;

  • Coordinating with customers and colleagues on-site, where you never lose sight of quality and safety;

  • Working in accordance with applicable safety, environmental and HSQE regulations and ensuring safe execution of assignments.

  • No two days are the same; you work at different locations and with various techniques. This keeps the work varied.

Your profile

Our future NDO Operator has the following competencies and characteristics:

  • RT2, MT2, UT2, PT2 certificates;

  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience;

  • Willing to pursue additional training;

  • You are independent, proactive, customer- and service-oriented;

  • You have good communication skills in Dutch and English;

  • Resident in (East) Netherlands (Hengelo region);

  • In possession of a driving licence category B;

  • Flexible regarding working hours.

About the department

In Hengelo, a team of nine colleagues work closely together. From this location, they support customers in various sectors.

An important part of the work is within Aerospace, Chemical and the Metal Industry. In addition, they contribute to the energy transition towards Renewable Power.

The team's projects are spread across East Netherlands, from Deventer to Emmen, which provides a varied mix of assignments and work environments.
