A Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a dynamic career path that combines technical-scientific requirements, planning, and communication with internal and external partners. They are healthcare professionals with solid, in-depth, and up-to-date technical-scientific knowledge regarding products, diseases, clinical practice, and clinical studies in a specific therapeutic area. They are responsible for conducting reliable, balanced, and scientifically deep discussions with Key Opinion Leaders and other healthcare professionals, disseminating recent scientific evidence, and developing relationships structured on technical-scientific foundations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and execute field scientific activities in the Rare Diseases area, with a focus on lysosomal diseases, aiming to disseminate up-to-date medical knowledge and support the continuing education of healthcare professionals.

Share and discuss scientific evidence, clinical studies, and therapeutic guidelines with healthcare professionals, promoting the application of scientific knowledge in clinical practice.

Plan, organize, and conduct meetings, lectures, and other scientific activities, in addition to collaborating on speaker training when necessary and appropriate.

Provide technical-scientific support to healthcare professionals on topics related to diagnosis, the patient journey, and the management of Rare Diseases.

Collect field insights on therapeutic trends, medical needs, and clinical practices, sharing information with internal areas, participating in alignments with brand teams, and ensuring that scientific activities are aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Act in compliance with the principles of Ethics and Integrity, corporate policies, and codes of conduct that govern the pharmaceutical industry.

Promote and comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, contributing to risk prevention, employee well-being, and the reduction of environmental impacts, in addition to supporting Diversity and Inclusion initiatives that ensure respect, equity, and equal opportunities for all.
About you:

Higher education degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biology, Biomedicine, or related fields.

Advanced academic degree (PharmD, MSc, PhD) in a scientific discipline is highly desirable.

Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry (mandatory), with solid experience in Medical Affairs and previous experience interacting with key opinion leaders in the rare diseases area (desirable).

Knowledge in the area of rare diseases and technical knowledge in Genetics (desirable).

Experience in clinical research processes (desirable).

Knowledge of regulations and ethical guidelines applied to the pharmaceutical industry.

Soft Skills: Effective communication, proactivity, prioritization capacity, strategic planning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Technical skills: Construction and implementation of engagement and communication plans, knowledge of scientific methodology and data analysis.

Languages: Advanced/fluent English.

Availability to travel (80% of the time).

Valid driver's license.
