Our Medical Affairs division promotes patient healthcare through scientific exchange with external physicians and industry leaders, ensuring that the scientific benefits of our products are recognized. Through networking and training of internal employees and appropriate communication, we ensure that the scientific foundations of our medications are understood in detail. Additionally, we examine previously unmet medical needs to advance collaboration further and differentiate our portfolio.
For our Medical Affairs (Oncology) department, we are seeking a qualified and committed Medical Science Liaison (m/f/d) Oncology - Melanoma / Head & Neck / Hematologic Oncology for the North-West region (Hamburg, Kiel, Bremen, Münster, Kassel, Hannover).
This position is a field-based role to be filled on a home-office basis.
Your Responsibilities:
- Primary point of contact for Scientific Leaders in the therapeutic areas of skin tumors, head and neck tumors, and hematologic neoplasms for specialists in hematology, oncologists, and radiation oncologists, as well as the respective organ oncologists in clinics and practices in your territory
- Responsible for building new and maintaining existing contacts
- 80% of activities in the field in direct customer contact
- Customer-oriented preparation and provision of scientific information
- Presentation and discussion of the product pipeline and associated new mechanisms of action in the supported indications
- Identification of local research needs including promotion and support of scientific research projects such as MISP (Investigator Studies Program), local studies (LDG and registries) in close collaboration with the Medical Advisor
- Organization, support, and execution of regional scientific events in the territory, as well as at the national level (Expert Input Forum)
- Virtual and in-person presentations to internal and external customers
- Very close collaboration with Medical Advisors, Project Managers/CRAs Clinical Research, Market Access Managers, Franchise/Brand and Customer Managers (BCM)
Your Profile:

Completed degree in human medicine or pharmacy, alternatively a natural sciences degree with a doctorate

Minimum 2 years of prior experience in clinical oncology, or demonstrated successful work in Medical Affairs in the field of oncology at a pharmaceutical company, preferably in the relevant indications, is required

Sound knowledge of relevant oncological therapeutic areas, the scientific environment and networks, as well as study groups

Pronounced communication skills and negotiation ability in dealing with different contacts outside and within the company

Strong ability to integrate into diverse teams, convince them, and motivate them

Pronounced interest in scientific issues and knowledge transfer, presentation confidence

Knowledge of relevant legal regulations

Understanding of framework conditions and experience in the regulatory environment are advantageous

Comprehensive English language skills required
