Job Summary: As a Commercial Real Estate / Energy Law Clerk , you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Keep in mind this is an Commercial Real Estate and/or Energy experience role, you'll be asked questions about both. Not have experience with both is fine, but it's highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze commercial real estate documents, site control agreements, and title records for power generation projects on the US East Coast.
  2. Extract and structure key data points, focusing on land-use rights and ownership verification for development and infrastructure projects.
  3. Identify, document, and categorize evidence of land-use compliance, as well as potential deficiencies in legal documentation.
  4. Collaborate with a tiered team (Specialists/Senior Law Clerks and Senior Associates/Partners) to ensure accuracy through initial reviews and final reconciliations.
  5. Contribute to the creation of benchmark datasets, supporting the validation and improvement of AI-driven document review models.
  6. Communicate findings effectively, both in writing and verbally, ensuring clarity and precision in all deliverables.
  7. Apply evidence-based legal analysis to inform model training and system evaluation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate law, particularly related to large-scale infrastructure or power generation projects.
  2. In-depth understanding of title, ownership, and land-use rights documentation for complex developments.
  3. Hands-on experience with document review, data extraction, and flagging legal deficiencies or risk factors.
  4. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, structured data extraction.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on precise documentation and collaborative teamwork.
  6. Professional experience within US East Coast jurisdictions.
  7. Familiarity with multi-tiered legal review processes and evidence-based analysis methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Direct involvement in power generation or energy project land acquisition and permitting processes.
  2. Prior exposure to AI agent projects or automated legal review platforms.
  3. Advanced legal research or data annotation experience supporting technology-driven initiatives.
