About the role

The mission of MSAT (Manufacturing, Science, Analytics and Technology) Injectables Frankfurt is to ensure the successful transfer of innovative drug products (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, microbial proteins) as well as the life cycle management of marketed products (e.g., insulins) for the Frankfurt BioCampus (FBC).

In this position, you will be part of the MSAT Galenics laboratory, which contributes to this by preparing and filling product/surrogate/placebo solutions on a laboratory scale, conducting stability studies, performing troubleshooting activities, and carrying out process development studies.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaboration and support in the development of down-scale models to simulate the drug product manufacturing process or filling process in production as part of process development/optimization studies
  • Preparation of drug product/placebo/surrogate solutions on a laboratory scale
  • Independent execution of analytical methods for drug testing/characterization (e.g., density/viscosity determinations, osmolality, surface tension, etc.)
  • Creation of consistent, proper documentation of all laboratory processes, preferably in iLab
  • Proper implementation and compliance with HSE guidelines in the laboratory
  • Maintenance of laboratory equipment/device support

About you

Education and professional experience

  • Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician, pharmaceutical technician, or comparable qualification
  • Practical experience in operating filling equipment on a laboratory scale for vials and cylinder ampoules or corresponding filling equipment in the production area
  • Experience in the preparation of drug product (DP) solutions (injectables) on a laboratory scale
  • Practical experience in the development and/or optimization of drug formulations in the injectables sector
  • Experience in analytical processes for drug testing/characterization
  • Good technical understanding of handling laboratory equipment
  • Understanding of manufacturing steps in production (especially preparation and filling) and aseptic working practices is desirable

Technical skills

  • Proficient in the use of standard software (MS Office)
  • Ideally, knowledge of using iLab

Social skills

  • Strong initiative, independent and meticulous working style
  • High level of teamwork with very good communication skills
  • Proactivity and flexibility

Languages

  • Very good written and spoken German skills
  • Good English skills are desirable
