WHY THIS ROLE IS EXCITING FOR YOU…

  • You are responsible for the complete employee lifecycle and ensure a smooth "customer experience" – both for colleagues and all stakeholders.

  • You will work closely with local management on site to optimize their performance according to Zalando P&O expectations.

  • You work on or even lead many different P&O topics, projects, and initiatives. For example:

    • You manage hiring and terminations in the team

    • You coordinate the annual performance cycle at the location

    • You discuss P&O data and performance with stakeholders

    • You participate in the location's monthly and quarterly business reviews.

  • You will be part of a small – but excellent – on-site P&O team that is supported by many central stakeholders.

WE'D LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU IF…

  • You have experience managing the full range of P&O processes and documentation in Germany.

  • You are well-versed in German labor law, works councils, and the framework conditions for employment relationships and have already applied this in an international work environment.

  • You are pragmatic, like to roll up your sleeves, and are ready to act at both the operational and strategic level.

  • You are solution-oriented, love organizational challenges, and convince through your independent and careful working style.

  • You speak fluent German and English (other languages are an advantage).

  • You analyze data insights to recommend strategies and anticipate future P&O developments.

  • You are able to network and collaborate with different teams and stakeholders within the organization and at the location and are not afraid of challenging conversations.

  • Ideally, you already have work experience in logistics/warehouse environments

OUR LOCATION IN GIESSEN

Our European logistics network is growing: we are currently in the preparation phase for the opening of our new location in Giessen (Hesse), which is just one hour away from Frankfurt am Main. The 130,000 square meter state-of-the-art logistics center will be operated by Zalando and is designed for up to 1,700 employees. From this location, starting in summer 2026, customers in Germany and neighboring markets will receive their packages.

Our logistics employees ensure that more than 50 million Zalando customers in more than 25 European markets reliably receive their orders every day. Zalando today operates a Europe-wide logistics network with twelve locations in seven countries. In Germany alone, around 6,000 employees from over 100 nations work at four Zalando logistics locations.
