Job Description
As a Game Intelligence Analyst at Ubisoft Montreal, you will help transform in-game data into concrete, actionable insights for creative teams. As part of the Canada Analytics Team (CAT), you will adopt an analytical and investigative approach to better understand player behaviors and motivations, thereby supporting decision-making throughout the game development process.
What you will do
- Collaborate closely with production teams to understand their game-related needs and translate them into research questions
- Analyze, explore, and combine various data sources to identify trends, observations, and predictions
- Transform complex data into actionable recommendations for creative teams
- Design and maintain clear and relevant data visualizations
- Translate analytical results into data stories accessible to different audiences
- Present findings, recommendations, and discuss associated action plans
- Coordinate efforts related to data tracking using project management concepts
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data tools and processes in partnership with other teams
- Participate in the creation of new processes and the optimization of existing ones
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Ability to use SQL and Python to manipulate, extract, and analyze data
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to simplify complex information for varied audiences
- Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Ability to propose concrete improvements based on data
- A strong interest in the video game industry
- Asset: experience using PySpark and Databricks
- Asset: understanding of issues related to player safety (moderation, reputation, positive play)
