Events Associate

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as an Events Assistant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients, ensuring events run smoothly and guests are satisfied with the quality of the venue, facilities, and the service they receive, within a dynamic and inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting clients throughout the booking journey, including on the day event support, ensuring that the highest attainable standards in the provision of facilities, services, product/brand quality, customer service and hospitality are consistently reached.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate event tracking information
  • Assisting in the preparation of facilities and services to ensure the success of your events
  • Up-selling the University’s conference facilities and services throughout the client’s event journey

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • A qualification in a hospitality related subject, or professional qualifications (s) combined with demonstratable professional skill and/or knowledge gained through relevant industry experience
  • Conference/Hospitality service and skills gained in a similarly diverse environment providing conference services on a similar scope and scale
  • Evidence of readily accepting individual accountability and effective use of initiative
  • Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Conference/Hospitality service and skills gained in a similarly-diverse environment

  • Liaison skills gained within a comparable role and work environment, with the ability to work effectively in partnership with others from within the organization
