  • Team of like-minded people passionate about what they are doing and creating opportunity to make a difference
  • Plenty of challenges to solve and to demonstrate your expertise
  • Flexible working hours: it is not about the time spent at the office; it is about the results that you deliver
  • Office in the South of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with opportunities of business travel across Europe or remote from anywhere in the EU or UK, including Belgium, Italy, and Germany
  • International team spirit

Your Mission

As a Data Scientist / ML Engineer at Flibco, you build models that ship. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, experimentation, and operational analytics to drive measurable impact across pricing, demand forecasting, customer intelligence, and route performance. Working closely with Data Engineers on our modern Snowflake and dbt stack, you own the full cycle from problem framing to deployed model to business outcome. This is not a research role. Your models go into production, your experiments influence real decisions, and your insights land with stakeholders who act on them.

What you will be working on

  • Develop and deploy predictive models that support operational and commercial decision-making across the business;
  • Design and analyse experiments to validate data-driven hypotheses and measure the impact of business decisions;
  • Build machine learning solutions to improve customer understanding, retention, and lifetime value;
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to productionise models with proper monitoring, alerting, and retraining pipelines;
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality, model governance, and analytical best practices.

Who you are

You bring a solid background in applied machine learning, statistics, and production ML deployment. You are proficient in Python and SQL, experienced with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake strongly preferred), and have a proven track record of deploying and monitoring models in real production environments. You combine statistical rigour with strong business acumen and are comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, international environment. You thrive in a small, autonomous team where ownership is high and decision cycles are short.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 3+ years of hands-on Data Science experience building and shipping models in production
  • Strong Python skills (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost or similar) and production-level SQL
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses, Snowflake strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to deploy and monitor models in production, including retraining and drift detection
  • Strong statistical foundation in regression, time series, and experimental design
  • Excellent communication skills in English

You'll stand out if you also have:

  • Familiarity with dbt for data transformation workflows
  • Experience in mobility, transport, e-commerce, or demand-driven industries
  • Knowledge of MLOps tooling such as MLflow, Airflow, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to dynamic pricing or revenue management models

How you will work

What makes this role unique:

Data is at the heart of Flibco's ability to scale intelligently and compete effectively. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced analytics, revenue optimization, and operational excellence in a dynamic, demand-driven mobility environment.

You will have a direct impact on how Flibco prices its services, forecasts demand, and allocates resources, decisions that directly influence both profitability and customer satisfaction. Through the development of machine learning models and experimentation frameworks, you will help shape the strategic direction of the business and support continuous improvement across operations, marketing, and customer experience.

This position provides strong exposure to the full data lifecycle in a fast-moving international company, from model development to production deployment, and offers real opportunities to grow within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The expectation is clear: think analytically, act with purpose, and always keep performance, profitability, and operational efficiency in mind.

Location

This position offers full flexibility: work from our Luxembourg headquarters or remotely from anywhere in the EU or UK, including Belgium, Italy, and Germany, where we also have entities. Ready to take on this challenge and have a good time doing it? Let's make great things happen together!

See you soon,

Jan
