About the Job
We are looking for a tablet compression technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing production and packaging operations in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all activities.
Key Responsibilities
Production and Operational Tasks
- Perform manufacturing and packaging procedures according to trained operating instructions
- Work to achieve the required daily productivity according to the trained GMP methods
- Record completed work in the relevant logbook and batch record
- Receive and hand over manufacturing and packaging materials and supervise the movement of incoming and outgoing goods within the various department warehouses
Team Support and Coordination
- Train new employees based on the nature of the work
- Organize the attendance of temporary workers and input their hours
- Perform other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor
- Contact the engineering department in case of malfunctions
Compliance and Hygiene
- Implement the daily cleaning and organization program for equipment and production lines
- Change clothes in designated rooms according to production clothing guidelines
- Respect the code of ethics, company laws, and social values
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities
Physical and Mechanical Safety
- The employee is fully aware of the physical risks resulting from the nature of their work and must adhere to operating, safety, and occupational health instructions to avoid any injuries
- Knowledge of noise levels in the area and commitment to wearing the provided protective equipment
- The employee is fully aware of the mechanical risks resulting from the nature of their work, for example, adhering to operating, safety, and occupational health instructions to be followed when dealing with moving parts in machines (ensuring the presence of safety guards and the functionality of all safety switches)
Chemical Safety
- The employee possesses sufficient awareness of the chemical risks resulting from the nature of their work
- Fully aware of the risks of the chemicals they handle through Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Knowledge of the necessary protective equipment and commitment to wearing it when handling these materials
Electrical Safety
- The employee is fully aware of the electrical risks resulting from the nature of their work and how to prevent them by:
- Disconnecting the power before repair operations
- Using appropriate personal protective equipment for the electrical current the employee is exposed to
- Knowing and applying the best methods to perform their work safely
- Committing to not touching machine parts without completely disconnecting the power and using Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
General Safety Commitment
- The employee is committed to using protective equipment and undertakes to take care of what is in their possession and implement instructions issued to maintain their health and protect them from work accidents
- They must not commit any act intended to prevent the implementation of instructions or misuse, alter, or damage the means provided for the protection and safety of fellow workers
Required Skills
- 5 to 7 years of experience in tablet compression
- Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing production environment is preferred
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and production documentation
- Basic understanding of HSE principles and safe work practices
