Compliance Governance & Controls Intern

Overview

Within Compliance Governance & Controls, you will have an integrated role between monitoring regulatory developments and developing risk assessment methodologies.

You will have a cross-functional and methodological view of Compliance, with direct involvement in regulatory monitoring activities, risk assessment, and production of analysis and reporting tools to support management.

What will your activities be

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support and assist the team in the following activities:

  • Support in analyzing and monitoring national and European regulations and regulatory initiatives.
  • Classification of regulations by area, relevance, and impact, with contribution to regulatory heatmap and outlook.
  • Support in managing the regulatory Control Room, including collection, tracking, and prioritization of initiatives.
  • Contribution to Compliance Risk Assessment activities, collection of risk assessments, and application of scoring methodologies.
  • Collaboration in maintaining and evolving the methodological framework, metrics, and evaluation criteria.
  • Updating of risk maps, dashboards, and aggregate risk views.
  • Preparation of reports and summary materials for management and committees.
  • Support in integrating compliance risk into corporate frameworks and interaction with business functions.

Who we are looking for

If you have the following characteristics, we are waiting for you:

Degree in:

• Law (banking/financial law specialization)

• Economics and Finance / Banking & Finance

• Economics of Markets and Financial Intermediaries

• Statistics / Data Science / Mathematics

• Management Engineering

Interest in regulatory, compliance, and risk management topics;

Basic knowledge (including academic) of:

• European regulatory frameworks

• risk assessment processes

• scoring logic and risk metrics

• internal control processes

Excellent knowledge of the Office suite (particularly Excel—data analysis and PowerPoint);

Good knowledge of the English language.
