The Ohio University School of Nursing invites applications for a Clinical Faculty, Program Track Director position for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) graduate program track. This faculty appointment includes curriculum and administrative leadership responsibilities for the PMHNP program and is aligned with academic rank and compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Program Track Director provides academic and operational leadership for the PMHNP track, ensuring program quality, regulatory compliance, and student success. This role collaborates closely with graduate program leadership, faculty, staff, and clinical partners to support excellence in teaching, learning, and continuous program improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
Academic Leadership and Curriculum Oversight
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the PMHNP program track
- Ensure curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation align with CCNE accreditation standards and PMHNP specialty certification requirements (e.g., ANCC)
- Oversee course sequencing, curriculum implementation, and ongoing program evaluation
- Lead curriculum revision and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate to recruit, review applications, and interview prospective students
- Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator to obtain, evaluate, and strengthen clinical placements and partnerships
- Participate in School, College, and University governance systems and committees
Faculty Coordination and Development
- Collaborate with course coordinators and PMHNP faculty to ensure consistency and quality across courses
- Support faculty onboarding, mentoring, and performance evaluation
- Promote effective teaching practices aligned with program outcomes
Student Success and Progression
- Analyze student progression, retention, and completion metrics
- Serve as a resource for student academic concerns and advising coordination
- Participate in admissions, recruitment, and orientation activities
- Collaborate with leadership to address student performance or clinical concerns
Accreditation, Assessment, and Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and report PMHNP program outcomes
- Contribute to CCNE accreditation self-studies and site visits
- Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements
Clinical Partnerships and Professional Engagement
- Develop and sustain psychiatric-mental health clinical partnerships
- Oversee clinical site and preceptor evaluation
- Maintain active engagement in professional practice and specialty organizations
Service and Administration
- Participate in School, College, and University governance
- Contribute to resource planning, scheduling, and administrative operations
- Perform additional duties aligned with the mission of the School of Nursing
