For this location in Krems, we are looking for a:
Automation Technician (m/f/d)
Full-time, immediate start
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and implementation of automation solutions at the Krems site based on the requirements of system users, while considering company standards and GMP guidelines.
- Support the creation of User Requirements (URS) and participate in risk analyses, HAZOPs, and technical assessments.
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary project teams on the planning, implementation, and commissioning of automation systems, including support for FAT and SAT activities.
- Support qualification and validation activities for automation systems (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Participate in the implementation, configuration, and testing of production recipes in close cooperation with process and plant experts.
- Support changes and expansions to automation systems and the Environmental Monitoring System (EMS).
- Act as a contact person for users regarding technical questions and provide support for error analysis and troubleshooting during ongoing operations.
- Perform maintenance, service, and optimization work on automation equipment to ensure reliable plant operation.
- Participate in the automation on-call service after appropriate training and qualification.
- Comply with GMP, quality, safety, and compliance requirements in the regulated production environment.
- Support digitalization and automation projects for the continuous improvement of production processes.
- Participate in the analysis of plant malfunctions and the identification of sustainable improvement measures.
- Automation on-call service (remote on-call 24/7)
Requirements:
- Completed degree in automation or electrical engineering or comparable fields (completed HTL, FH, or university)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in project planning, programming, or commissioning of automation systems (process control systems Siemens PCS 7 or PLC and visualization systems)
- Good English and German skills
- Knowledge of networking
- Good knowledge of sensors and actuators is an advantage
- Experience in project management and leading project teams is desirable; ideally, further training or certification is available
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering requirements in the pharmaceutical environment is an advantage
- Willingness to participate in the automation on-call service (remote on-call 24/7)

The collective agreement minimum salary for this position is EUR 50.300 gross per year. Depending on the qualification profile and professional experience of the successful candidate, there is a willingness to pay more.
